  2. Greenberry Baxter says:

I am a fossil and not very tech-savvy, to say the least. I have entered one book, but am kind of foggy about the widget page and if I did things correctly. My first three books were typed on a Smith-Corona, lol. Even now, I have to have a pro formatter ready my files for publication. I would like to possibly enter another book under a pseudonym, BUT the only way I can send my files would be the Word doc. that they are in. I read in another comment that you prefer PDF, I think. All I can do is send the Word doc. OR send a coupon to read it FREE PDF off of the Smashwords site. Is this going to cause a rejection? There may be some others with my same problem. It was my fault for not investigating things better before entering and sending in the fee. Of course I still have entered, but hope my entry will not be discarded because of the file format–also will not send another entry until you advise. Thank you.

    Greenberry Baxter,
If you’re using MS word, try doing a “save-as” and look for the listing for saving it as a pdf file. Most MS word docs can do that, I think. I hope that helps you.
