Eros’s life changes forever when he discovers the brilliant mark burning behind his left ear on the morning of his sixteenth birthday. The mark drives him to become a warrior to protect Lady Anyamae — he desires this noble future. Forced to abandon his home, he faces perils that will test his training and push the limits of his resolve. Eros wears the mark with utmost honor, but he is relentlessly hunted by the Lady’s enemies. Despite his belief in his destiny, Eros increasingly doubts his skill as he guides a group of his peers on the harrowing journey that may very well be their last.
